Fascinating that mammals only tend to be around about one million years. Just another article making me wish I had a crystal ball to see the past and future evolution of our planet!

Not going to have Amnasia about this Substack anytime soon. Right there with you on loving jumping in water and being fascinated by islands.

Ok, mind slightly boggling after all that, but fascinating. You’re never getting me jumping into the cold stuff anytime soon. I want a balmy 20 degrees or above my friend. I’m planning a splash pool and it’ll never dip below 28! As for the islands, you got me there, love the intrigue and mystery.

This is a moving piece, Mike. 😆 If humans are still around then, it will be fascinating to see what all this coming together of our land masses does for governments and borders. Of everything you wrote here, I got the biggest chuckle from this: "Equated into human terms, with the average modern human living to the age of just over 73 years, that means at best we’re currently less than 5 years old.

As I’m sure you’ll agree, this explains a lot."

You reminded me of a book I read a long time ago called "Subways are for Sleeping." I believe they changed all the rules subsequently to no longer permit that. Perhaps they have repealed those laws? Let us know how it goes, unless Shelly talked you out of it.

I love how optimistic you are. It's good to have that during such dark times as these, when our so-called 'leaders' are quite willing, if not downright eager, to blow us up in a nuclear conflagration. Thanks!
