Such ingenious ideas. I do observe that various physical setups (environment and body movement) provide different levels of affordance to writing. I will definitely check out the book and give those suggestions a try (Spirit of Scotland ticket sounds really cool).

After I shared this post, I had a couple of friends drop me messages to say that if I was ever going to do a train-based writing project, they'd be deloghted to accompany me and do a lump of their own work. Feels like it could be a thing: a writing retreat on rails? Hmmm.
